The client, an expert-led SEO company, offers a range of services in the field, including GMB-related ones (GMB now being called Google Business Profiles). While SEO is in itself a heavily tech-reliant industry, the company further broadens its impact in the field by offering tools for public use (some free, some paid) that allow businesses to harmonize their SEO strategy and perform audits on a regular basis.
The solution in focus aims to help solve the common problems that businesses encounter when using GBPs, particularly the use of relevant categories, data extraction for informed decision making, and multimedia audits. While in the past, this warranted the participation of a SEO team with multiple tools in use, the ambition behind the platform is to facilitate these processes and foster a better online climate that is driven by properly executed SEO strategies on behalf of businesses.

The resulting product consists of a data visualization dashboard (developed with Next.js) that also serves for authorization and plan upgrades, plus a Chrome extension that can be used for routine searches by categories. The tool also allows exporting data reports as CSV files, and performing image and video audits, which is especially valuable for local businesses.
