In November 2025, Lionwood.software joined the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce – a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing lasting collaborations and shared contexts between Ukrainian and Norwegian businesses.

The NUCC, functioning since 2008, is a non-governmental body that unites over 220 business members to leverage bilateral business opportunities across five main focus industries: IT, Seafood & Agriculture, Rebuilding, Energy, and Manufacturing. What makes the organization especially valuable is its attention to SMEs realities, as well as intricacies of B2B and B2G sectors, where they work to promote understanding and efficient cooperation models.

For Lionwood.software, this membership is a logical step, considering the company’s history of involvement with customers in the Nordic region. As a custom software provider, Lionwood has successfully implemented projects in logistics, manufacturing, and other domains in Scandinavia and already has some background experience, which we hope to extend further with NUCC.

As practice shows, there are several major points where the Ukrainian software industry in general, and Lionwood.software, in particular, are quite a good fit for Norwegian clients. One such example is a strong background with .NET projects – while a lot of Nordic customers are used to operating .NET and Azure-powered systems, this tech stack is, for us, one where we’ve accumulated a wealth of expertise over the past years.

Another factor is the focus on modernization and custom optimization – our commitment to tailored solutions that respect the idiosyncrasies of each company’s workflows is something our clients from the Nordic region consistently find of value. Adding AI and IoT capacities while respecting the corporate know-hows and unique use cases is also important.

Finally, Ukrainian companies, Lionwood.software included, are traditionally attentive to European regulatory requirements, from GDPR to ESG and beyond, making software development nearshoring a convenient option for businesses. What’s lacking in most cases is simply mutual awareness and a shared context, which is exactly what NUCC does a good job providing.

We appreciate the NUCC’s efforts in bringing companies closer to each other and hope for an eventful collaboration. Our team is planning to take part in a number of industry-specific events organized by the NUCC, get a detailed picture of the challenges we can help solve, and offer our expertise to do so.
