Shyft.tt
A configurable insurance marketplace that enables customers to compare quotes, purchase policies online, and submit claims while giving administrators complete control over pricing and business rules.
Shyft.tt is one of Trinidad & Tobago’s leading digital insurance comparison platforms, helping consumers compare quotes from multiple insurers through a single online experience.
As the business expanded, the company needed a more flexible platform that could evolve quickly, support additional insurance products, and reduce dependence on developers for everyday operational changes.
Shyft approached Lionwood to replace its early MVP with a scalable platform capable of supporting future business growth. Beyond redesigning the customer experience, the project focused on making insurance products, pricing logic, eligibility rules, and claims configurable through an administrative interface, allowing the business to evolve without frequent software releases.
Lionwood rebuilt the platform from the ground up, introducing a flexible administration panel, responsive user experience, online payments, configurable pricing logic, and streamlined claims workflows that support the client’s continued business expansion.
Configurable business rules
Online policy purchases
Mobile-first experience
Digital claims handling
Admin self-service
The original MVP successfully validated the business concept but became increasingly difficult to maintain. Even relatively small changes to pricing formulas, insurance rules, or product offerings required developer involvement, slowing the company’s ability to respond to market opportunities and launch new services.
The project began with a structured discovery phase to analyze both the existing platform and future business objectives. Lionwood then rebuilt the application around configurable business logic, allowing administrators to manage insurance products, pricing rules, customer journeys, and claims without software changes.
Discovery-first approach

Flexible administration portal
Integrated online payments
Scalable product architecture
Customers receive personalized insurance offers based on configurable questionnaires and pricing logic.
The project combined business discovery, UX redesign, and full-stack development to transform an early MVP into a configurable insurance platform capable of supporting future product expansion and operational independence.
