On 14th and 15th May, Lionwood.software had the pleasure to take part in one of the most highly regarded tech events in the Nordic region – Stockholm Tech Show 2025 in Kistamässan. This meeting of over 4500 participants, 250 exhibitors, and more than 150 speakers was a spectacular marketplace of ideas and insights for multiple industries – this year, with a specific focus on cybersecurity and the growing role of AI.

Shuttling back and forth from our booth to where the presentations and round talks were taking place was as hard as it was rewarding. A lot of discussions were focusing on responsible AI practices, and making the much-hyped tech novelty into something ready for use in businesses that operate under compliance and security constraints. This is something that Lionwood.software is also actively working on, applying AI-based solutions to the unique realities of various supply chain actors and their business environments in niche solutions.

Several examples include Yuraimi Abreu, Google’s AI Business Strategist, who provided insights into the latest developments within Google’s AI ecosystem – and General Patrick Huston, a member of the FBI’s AI Task Force with a keynote on AI’s role in national security and governance.

Meanwhile, cybersecurity sessions addressed emerging threats and defense strategies. David Jacoby, an ethical hacker and security advisor, shared insights into combating cyber threats. Sandra Barouta Elvin, Microsoft’s National Security Chief, discussed strategies for safeguarding digital infrastructures. Camilla Lundahl, a cybersecurity expert, explored the intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

The event featured various networking opportunities, including the “6 x Fika” sessions dedicated to key tech segments, and an International Breakfast with representatives from Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, and the Czech Republic, fostering international collaboration.

Speaking of the Ukrainian presence, Sweden and Ukraine are currently working to expand mutual trade relationships, covering export and import of services, as well. It was heartwarming to be among the 15 companies from Ukraine represented at the event and providing hands-on expertise accumulated over the years for multiple industries. Our contribution was our experience with logistics, transportation, supply chain, and agriculture tech, as well as EdTech.

One of the most valuable aspects of the Stockholm Tech Show was how interconnected everything was. Seeing representatives of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for Eurasia at cybersecurity events as well as during networking really shows how holistically Sweden’s businesses and institutions tend to view everything, from collaborations to tech challenges and solutions.

Collaborations are the cornerstone of business in the region, actually. While establishing new connections may be tricky at first, it is inspiring to see how supportive the business community is. A special shoutout goes to Mikael Wällstedt from Inonom with his presentation on the matter – followed by our thanks to the organizers for creating an environment where cooperation and innovation are combined for the better future.
